Lets look through the tag shaped window ....
Now I've discovered challenge blogs - I'm hooked - what a great way to get inspired with a theme!
This tag was created for the "Window" theme on Dragons Dream Tag It On at http://dragon-dragonsdream.blogspot.com
Window Challenge.
I didnt take the theme "window" literally as there just wasnt enough time to go shopping for new stamps etc (shame)! So I have used an eye as a window to the soul and a Tim Holtz film strip stamp to portray windows as snapshots.
Hope you like it!

WOYWW - 22 Sept 2010
Morning WOYWWers - bright and early this morning!
I have a layout to show you today that I finally got finished. Nothing particularly special about it apart from its the first I've done of the pup.
I dont tend to use bright colours very often so it was nice to get some use from these BG ranges!
To join in the Wednesday fun - click on over to Stampting Ground to find out more: http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
As always - heres another photo of Bella and yes - she is as mad as she looks!

Tag It On
Last week I was visited by Frankie at Dragons Dream who told me about her blog and the tag challenges that she hosts every week. Well, I visited her back and had a snoop around her lovely site and decided to join in. Go and check it out at:
http://dragon-dragonsdream.blogspot.com
This week, the inspiration for her tags is "bead-dazzled". She asked that people use beads or bling and also to use a stamp - so that's what I've done! I have used sequins instead of beads as the tag is ATC sized but the "ribbon" is a beaded string. I have used a stamp to emboss both the background card and the bodice.
I hope you like it.

A new layout for the weekend!
I can't remember the last time I did a layout so it's definietly over due! I felt a bit lost and void of ideas as I sat with my 3d scan photo, wondering what on earth to do with it or what to call it. I considered naming the page 'It's a girl!' but after texting Lou for inspiration decided on a very simple title '3D' as the LO is only an 8x8 size and didn't want a massive long title that would take over the page!
I've used my lovely October afternoon papers and embellished simply, I'm really pleased with the end result hope you like it too!

WOYWW - 15 Sept 2010
Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have been visiting our blog and leaving such lovely comments - I cant believe we've now got 20 followers - we just thought our family would pop in every so often - but they aren't even following!!!!
Here we are again for "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday" hosted by Julia at http://stampingground.blogspot.com - go and take a look at the wonderful creations that are being created!
I finished my "Paris" tags for the UKS tag swap and have sent them off. As ever, I'm really looking forward to receiving the other 6 back and also for next month's theme. It has been a great way, not only to use up stash, but to buy new!!!!!
I have also entered Rainbow Lady's Challenge over at http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ as her challenge this week was to use feathers. Two birds one stone me thinks! Go over and take a look at her blog for more challenges!
Actually - its three birds one stone because The Stampman Challenge has the theme "Distressed" so I'm entering these tags there too! To go and take part in this challenge go to: http://thestampmanchallenges.blogspot.com
Its amazing what challenges are out there to join and get inspiration from!
This week Bella has been allowed out on walkies!!!! Everything is going great and she is meeting a real variety of people, dogs, cats, geese, ducks and bikes. She seems to feel most at home with people and small animals and a little more wary of the large and confident dogs. We're off to training on Sunday - can't wait!
Anyway - last but not least - heres a shot of a couple of my drawers - looking a bit messy (which is why my desk is fairly tidy I suppose!
And my picture wall - when I think I've taken a decent shot on the caemera, I have it enlarged for my wall.
Have a great week and see you next Wednesday

I love this doctor!
Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Your heart only good for so many beats, and that it.....don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.
Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiency. What does cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So steak is nothing more than efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef also good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And pork chop can give you 100% of recommended daily allowance of vegetable product.
Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Bottom up!
Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio two to one, etc.
Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No pain....good!
Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food are fried these day in vegetable oil. In fact, they permeated by it. How could getting more vegetable be bad for you?!?
Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.
Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, explain whale to me..
Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' a shape!
Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.
And remember:
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - wine in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!
AND.....
For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies
1. The Japanese eat very little fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
3. The Chinese drink very little red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats
and suffer fewer heart attacks than us.
CONCLUSION:
Eat and drink what you like..

WOYWW - I'm late... I'm late....
.....for this very important date!!!!!
I did'nt get back from work until almost 7pm and then couldnt get on the computer so I'm really late with WOYWW. This phenonenomenonmenon (!!!!) is hosted by Julia over on Stamping Ground so go and take a look and then join in the fun!
This week I have more tags being made for the UKS monthy tag swap. This month the these is cities and landmarks. Well, the only thing I have to use really is my Tim Holtz Paris stamps so I've used them. I decided on the whole vintage Paris / Moulin Rouge / La Cage aux Follie kind of look - and have tried a few new techniques with vintage lace, crackle glaze and some rather fabulous feather - dahling! I also made the little roses myself.
Bella the pup is growing so fast - she is now 12 weeks old and will be ready to be walked in the big wide world on Friday - we cant wait!
We took her for her injections and microchipping last week - and she was very brave. In reception we met another cute little pup called Tank. He was a tiny, beautiful, mink coloured staffie who nestled into his owners shoulder. When we asked how old he was we were stunned to find that he and Bella shared a birthday!!! Casey had to stagger into the reception with Bella in her arms, knees buckling under her weight. Who ate our puppy????
Bella loves playing in the puddles in the garden - oh wet pet!

Introducing my Beautiful baby!
Today after weeks of waiting, Darren and I went to have a 4D scan of our baby. I've been so looking forward to it since the start of August when Darren asked me what I would like for my birthday. Not being able to think of much else apart from 'baby stuff' I was able to say very quickly about the 4D scans which I had seen.
I am now 26 weeks into my pregnancy and this is the last chance to see the baby before the birth in December, and it was so worth it! We had been told at the 20 week scan that we were going to have a baby girl, followed by 'probably'! but today that was confirmed! We had all of her measurements checked, aswell as hearing a really strong heartbeat, and everything is going fantastically, we were even told that today she weighs 1lb 15ounces (nearly a bag of sugar!)
I had been advised to eat chocolate or drink a can of cola beforehand to wake her up so she was active and moving around lots during the scan, I did this but typically she was sleeping through most of it even with gentle prodding!
We were able to see fingers and toes and her pretty little button nose, It's amazing how much love you can feel for something you haven't properly met yet!
We were given a DVD of the scan and a CD with the 3D photo's on, I love them all, here are some of my favourites.

August Tag Swap 2010
I just had to show you the tags I received as part of the UKScrappers August tag swap - they are my favourites ... so far!
The theme was "Beside the Seaside" and I love the way that everyone interprets the theme slightly differently!
I now have them all up on the wall of my craft room and they look amazing! I always get very excited about getting these tags in the post - its the only thing I receive that isnt a bill!

Birthday Bunting!
Bunting is really "IN" at the moment isnt it? I see it on cards, scrapbook pages, tags and ATC's and people's walls so, I decided to join the craze and make some for Casey's bedroom.
Casey has a "vintage-esque" style room in shades of old blue and antique lace with delicate deep red blooms etc so I made an old fashioned banner to go across her window lintel.
Here are the photos of each banner:-
And here it is in it's full glory:
Perhaps it should have been larger?
I even handmade the little roses myself and am really pleased with the result!

WOYWW 1 Septemeber 2010
OMG - where has August gone? I can't believe we are in September already. Just a few more days untl the kids are back at school and the poor puppy is left alone .... aaahhhh.
I've had a little clean up of my craft room and thought I'd share the photos with you:-
I have displayed the tags from the Tag Swap on the wall (until I get my inspiration wire) and rejigged some boxes and tubs I didnt really need cramping my space. Much better! I have even reorganised my drawers - but that's enough of that (Oooer mrs)!
The Pup is growing fast and is having her 3 month injection on Friday, along with a microchip and deworm and flea treatments.
It was Casey's 15th birthday yesterday so Bella enjoyed playing with the wrapping paper and packaging - just like a toddler!
Here is Casey showing off her new Ipod Touch at Nandos last night:-
Several people have made Casey birthday cards which I have to show off here:
My sister, Mel, My Mum and of course, Bella the dog!
Have a great day!
