My growing bump & WOYWW
On Saturday, Lou and I went for a visit to the hospital to have a look around the labour and post-natal wards as I haven't been there for nearly nine years and I wanted to refresh my memory. I have to say it's made me even more nervous than ever as the memories surfaced up again and I wondered 'what have I done'?! It's all getting much closer now, I've reached 30 weeks, and I'm so excited to meet my baby girl, but the birth part is scaring me slightly!
I asked Lou to take a few picutures of me and my bump, I didn't have any photo's taken of me in my last pregnancy and it seems a shame I have no record of it, so wanted to make sure I didn't make the same mistake again. William, my son joined in for some of the photo's and I love them.
I've made two 8x8 layouts for my pregnancy scrapbook, I'm still finding it hard to work with anything smaller than the 12x12 as there seems to be no room for anything much on it and I want the photo's to be the main event! If anyone can think of a suitable title for the layout of William and myself I'd love to hear it, I had one of those many blank moments! Baby brains I think they call it!
Thanks Lou, and hope you like them x
I decided to add my WOYWW photo beneath Mel's gorgeous LO's because I sooo want you to see her bump LO's - I'm very proud as I took the photos but she made them extra fab by pretting them up!
Someone mentioned last week that they never see my "mess" - thats because I'm an organised crafter and cant stand a ton of mess. I'm the type who makes lists of what I'm going use and I draw LO's before I put them together. I get everything out that I need and then put everything away and you'll never find my desk covered in materials overnight! I can't help it - organisation is my job - I wish I could be messy and spontaneous but it makes me feel really stressed! (You should try holidaying with me - you might even get a toilet break)!
I've taken two shots of work in action - one of my autumn challenge tag and another of my halloween October tag swap. Dont worry - everything was back where it belonged immediately after the pics were taken!

What beautiful photos. A lovely memory to look back on. I have no pregnancy photos either and it's something I've regreted. It's a very special time. Your Layouts are beautiful and I love your Son's face on the first one. He looks as if he's asking whether this is his new Sister.

ReplyDeleteThey are fantastic Mel - I'm so pleased with some of the photos and now they look even better in scrapbook pages!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure that the first one needs a title to be honest - everything that needs to be said is in the picture.
The pages look delicate and warm - well done us!
Congratulations on your pregnancy - you must be very excited - just think of all the fabulous scrapping opportunitys with a little girl!!!
ReplyDeleteYour halloween projects look like fun and makes me just want to jump straight into your room and start playing!!! LOVE the color range of distress inks you have chosen!

Lovely pics and layouts Mel. How would these titles sound? 'Growing, Growing, Gone'(when you've had the baby for a 2nd page). 'Man made', 'Everything comes to those who wait', 'Homegrown with love', 'Two cute','About A Boy' or 'It's A Family Affair'...ooo..I could go on...enough from me, TFS. ~Glen~
ReplyDeleteMel: How about "Waiting on a Dream" (lovely layouts...)
ReplyDeleteLou: If you weren't in the UK, I probably hire you to help me organize! Hee hee. I admire your work ethic. The tags look like fun.

Ooh gals, a double reveal! Beautiful pics of Mel, how beautiful you are, and the one with your son just makes my hormones surge! And then Lou's desk - how lovely - an action shot! I believe you and have no problem with your planning and organising...it's a good thing Lou, just not a common thing!
ReplyDeleteI actually wish my desk would look like this - I'd probably get way more accomplished. Half of the time I'm just pushing stuff to the side to add more stuff in the middle...

What fab pictures! How about "is she nearly here yet" - you know, like "are we nearly there yet" on the car journeys. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. (You can tell I don't have children, can't you, lol)

What a lovely post! Thanks for sharing this special page...and the organized desk. Wish a little of that organization would rub off on me LOL! Thanks for popping by! Sue Kment
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing those amazing photographs and the fantastic layouts. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI had intended to stop by and visit anyone who left a comment, then I got confused, so decided to go through the list instead. Thanks for your sweet comments to me this week. I love both these layouts. They are wonderful. I make altered art and am in a swap that uses very tiny (to me) pages. I have trouble with "no room" too.
ReplyDeleteLou's space is somewhere I could craft. I love organized spaces and this is the BEST.
Such beautiful photographs, love how your son is looking at you in the first one :)
ReplyDeleteFab pics - can't think of a title though. Sometimes LOs don't need one cos the picture says it all! thanks for stopping by my blog! #5
ReplyDeleteMissed this last week and I am so glad I found it today. Love those pregnancy pics. Such as special time for you and your family. Congratulations!
