WOYWW - 13 Oct 2010
Julia at Stamping Ground - http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com is hosting another WOYWW and here is my entry this week. Go over to her place to take a peek!
After telling everyone last week how tidy and organised I am, I find myself with an unusually messy desk due to having a birthday yesterday! My lovely family bought me some scrapping stuff to add to the collection:
Some Christmas papers
dragonfly stamp
Humming bird stamp
heart and notes stamp
Sissixtexture boutique
An oval scallop punch
A lighthouse for altering - I love it but I'm worried about making a mess of it and have NO idea where to start!!!
Casey painted a clothes hanger for me which also features a lighthouse (they know me so well)!
I also got enough money to buy myself a sewing machine!!!! Not that I have a clue what to do with it when I get it but I'll have to learn!
I also thought I'd show you a sneeky peeky at my Halloween tags for the UKS tag swap this month. They feature Jack Skelleton from "A Nightmare Before Christmas" because he's kind of cute-scary and not just horrific! I have added some pumpkin and spider charms and used my new TH spiderweb mask.

I just picked up that heart and notes stamp too, to use on a daughter's band layout. And by chance, their show this year was the Music of Danny Elfman who composed for the Nightmare Before Christmas. Love, love, love your tags. How that for coincidences! S #80

Fab. tags, and happy birthday wishes to you! Thanks for visiting my blog today - just wanted to say, I have just bought a wooden lighthouse (almost) identical to yours, for our bathrooom. It had already been "altered" and is painted in light navy blue and white stripes - all of it distressed with sandpaper, some thin "rope" around the base, with tiny shells stuck on here and there and a sprinkling of "sand" - I love it. Just let me know if you would like a pic. sending!!!!

Happy belated birthday. You made out like a bandit! All those lovely gifts, and the lighthouse, too! Again, happy belated birthday and happy belated WOYWW (#2).
ReplyDeleteYou asked where I got the fabrics and lace. I have left a message for you on my blog but just in case you don't see it....I was given a huge bag of fabrics, but I do sometimes buy them and I buy little bundles of lace from a fabric shop.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps.
